Cut It Out

I mentioned that I was able to spend a little time stamping last weekend. I was finally able to create something specifically for this month’s A Muse Lounge challenge: create a card with something “cut out” on it. This little card, with a soft color scheme inspired by Emily, has a little bit of paper piecing on the flower. I cut the flower petals and center from chiffon pink and buttercup cardstock and added a little shading with my Copic markers. I’m still not sure how I feel about the color of the eggshell. I used the lightest warm gray I had, but it still feels a little dark. There must be a lighter, creamier Copic color.

Using water color colored pencils you can use the light grey and a light beige and blend them for the egg shell

I love it. Not all eggs have that golden hue that we imagine in our minds. In fact, most do have a grayish hue, so at least it’s true to life. :)

If you really hate it, you could always mail it to me 😉
