Rainbows are pretty awesome, but you can’t see them without a little rain. At least that’s what I remind myself when it seems like the rain will never let up. Then I go make cheerful cards with bright colors and happy sentiments to distract myself from the drizzle.
Like this one. There were a few steps involved, but none too complicated. I started by cutting my label and the large rainbow from Lil’ Inker out of white cardstock. I stamped my sunshine and sentiment, colored the rainbows with markers, and glued them all together. The ends of the rainbow had to be trimmed flush with the label to make the next step easier. To emboss the edges, I put the entire label, rainbow and all, back into the die and ran it through my die cutting machine with an embossing mat. Before removing it from the die, I gave it a little extra depth with the broad end of my stylus. The whole thing was mounted on a card I stamped with a little background pattern.
So, what do you do on rainy days?
