I wanted to write something cute and  clever here about Mondays, but I’ll settle for sharing a pretty and traditional card instead. I used three coordinating patterned papers from Crate Paper’s Farmhouse line to make the base, including a great ruler paper that’s a scrapbooker’s dream. Then I added my sentiment to a cardstock label die cut, and embellished with a felt flower cut using Lil’ Inker’s Fringe Flower die.

You might notice my flower looks a bit different from the other fringe flowers you’ve seen. That’s because I like to skew my petals as I fold the die cut strip. When they don’t line up perfectly, the petals have more dimension and a slightly organic shape. It’s my favorite trick so far. Have you tried the Fringe Flower die or a hand cut flower with similar construction? How did it turn out?
