I have a cute new set of dies and stamps from Lil’ Inker Designs to share with you today, so I won’t bog this down with a lot of chit chat. If you want the full scoop on the new Jingle Joy dies and stamps, back up a step to Laura’s blog. And if you like what you see along our hops this week, be sure to leave a comment because we’re giving away two $10 gift certificates next Monday.

Let’s start with my favorite part: the dies. Just look at those sweet bells! The two-piece design gives them so much dimension, and when cut from mirror card, look so much like the real thing that you may have to do a double-take. They’re still nice and flat, perfect for mailable holiday cards and scrapbooks.

And the best part? They’re completely silent.

There are a few letters included in the set too, so that you can spell out festive words, like jolly and joy. I’ve also figured out that you can also spell holly with a little creative cutting on the Y. And the big words and bells coordinate perfectly with the Holly Jolly sentiments released on Monday.

I cut my bells from mirror cardstock that I purchased at my local stamp store, Ink About It, but I bet you could get a similar effect with metallic cardstock and Glossy Accents. I backed my bells with dark gray cardstock and filled in the holes with the same glitter I used on my vellum holly leaves.

I mentioned that I left the letters off of this project, but check out those adorable patterns! I’m a fan of the candy swirls — wouldn’t they be cute in cameo pink with a few tiny celadon holly leaves and light red berries? In case you couldn’t tell, my poor sketchbook is overflowing with ideas for this set. Come back on Friday and I’ll share my favorite yet. (Just think December Daily and you’re on the right track.)

Want more inspiration for these jingle-less bells and letters? How about a details on the great patterns? Head on over to Ariana Grant’s blog for the scoop. And don’t forget to leave comments along the way.

  1. Yikes! I haven’t been around in a while, and apparently I’ve missed some fabulousness, because those silver bells are AMAZING. The effect is dazzling!
