Welcome back for anotherĀ Runway Inspired Challenge!

We’re using a really fun, graphic dress from Preen as our inspiration this week. There’s really no limit to the kinds of inspiration you can find in a piece like this. You could let the green, white, cream, and floral print scheme inspire your project. Maybe the layout of the dress can be a literal card sketch. Or try using the ratio of pattern, color, and white space to set up a card with incredible minimalist bones.

Or you could do what I did, and use a bit of all three approaches. I used the colors, butterfly and floral pattern, layout, and ratio to build my card.

My favorite part, other than the cream and white combination that make the rule-breaker inside me squeal in delight, is the butterflies. I just love the texture and touch of whimsy they add, without a lot of visual weight. And I can’t help but love the cards the rest of the design team created too:

So what do you think? Now that you’ve seen how the team interpreted this one, which approach will you try with the Runway Inspired Challenge?

  1. I instantly fell in love with your design when I saw this card! Like you, my favorite part has to be the subtle texture of the butterflies. Just lovely!
