Crafty, Stamping

Hello Baby

Challenge 86I’m on vacation and in the middle of a Lil’ Inker Designs blog hop, but I wanted to share a cute card I made for an expectant friend inspired by the current Lawnscaping Challenge, watercoloring.

I started by embossing the card base (made with heavy, mixed media paper perfect for stamping and watercoloring) with the teeny hearts from Lawn Fawn’s Hello Baby set and adding a gray color wash. After cutting the center panel with Lil’ Inker’s stitched rectangles dies, I stamped the duckling with gray VersaFine and colored it with Sakura Koi watercolors. I painted a little blue puddle and stamped a few splashes, too. On top is a bit of emboss resist on a Lil’ Inker Pinked Sentiment Flag.
