I just want to pop in to share a card I made for the Lawnscaping challenge and this month’s One-Layer Simplicity Challenge. Since Lawnscaping challenged us to make a clean and simple card with plenty of white space, I turned to a one-layer card to keep it as simple as possible, and used a little color blending so it wouldn’t look too flat.
After tracing a heart onto a white card base, I filled it with a variety of cups, spoons, and hearts from Lawn Fawn’s Love You a Latte stamp set. I kept the color scheme pretty tight, with a deep red, turquoise, and a few shades of brown. I did have a lot of fun coloring the cups with Copic markers, so there’s plenty of shading, some polka dots and patterns, and even some blending that should look like a ceramic glaze.
