Welcome back to the last day of the Lil’ Inker Designs new release blog hop! I have just a couple more things to share with you today, so let’s get the technical stuff out of the way:
- all of the new products are available in the shop;
- today’s hop starts at the Lil’ Inker Designs blog, where Laura has a review of all the new products;
- Lisa Henke’s blog was the last stop;
- you could win the entire January release by leaving comments on all of the blog hop posts by January 16th.
The new Be Mine Greeting die cuts a negative shape, so I put it right in the middle of my 4.25″ card base and backed it with a gorgeous piece of red velvet paper. That’s it. No fancy embellishments or techniques, just an amazing die and gorgeous paper.
Have I mentioned how much I love Laura for making the greeting dies? They’re a gift for clean and simple card makers, perfect for when you’re under a time crunch, or can’t bear to cut into your favorite papers.
Next up in this series of small, square cards is this sweet greeting. Similar to the Be Mine card, I used the negative of the Fringed Scalloped Heart dies to cut an opening into my card base. I used the pointy end of my bone folder to push up the scalloped fringe for extra dimension. Then I backed it with a sweet patterned paper, and a two-tone greeting cut with the Love You Much Border die.
Finally, I had to make an even sweeter card with some of the same supplies. I covered my square card base with donut patterned paper, then mounted a Fringe Scalloped Heart die cut. I added a die cut donut with hand-doodled sprinkles and sentiment from Eat More Donuts, an old favorite. Then I topped it all with the gorgeous new Brush Script Valentine’s Day Word dies in a shimmering brown card stock.
The next stop on our hop, Stephanie Gold, is sure to have something gorgeous to share, so make sure you check out her projects. And don’t forget to leave comments along the way for a chance to win our big prize!
