17626515_10209263898770444_5820514963227889528_nHow is it already the end of this month’s Lil’ Inker Designs blog hop?! This week has flown by. We released lots of new products into the store this week and I have a couple more things to share. But first I need to make sure you have the details on our hop. It starts at the Lil’ Inker Designs blog, and continues through Lisa Henke’s blog, before it lands you here. We’re giving away a huge prize to one lucky commenter, so be sure to leave a comment before the drawing!

First up is a graduation card made with the new Grad Class stamp set. I stamped a narrow panel with my sentiment, then stamped extra stars using the tiny ones in the set. Then I stamped it on a scrap of white paper and cut out just the mortarboard to pop up above the main panel. Next, I backed the panel with glitter paper cut with the Stitched Chevron border die. I also added a few tiny stars cut with one of my old favorites: the Starry Night border die.

This is a really old idea for a card, and not even the first time I’ve use it. It’s perfectly suited to big, bold alphabets like Pretty Painted Alphabet that are in alphabetical order on their storage sheets because it means you don’t have to move anything. I just inked the stamps right on the clear sheet and pressed them to my card base. Then I embossed them with copper embossing powder on a separate piece of card stock and die cut the few I needed. While I was at it, I embossed a stitched heart die cut too.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you’re loving these new goodies as much as I am and that you get a chance to play with them soon. They’re already available in the Lil’ Inker Designs store. And there’s still more inspiration at the next stop on the hop: Stephanie Gold’s blog. Until next time, happy stamping!
