It’s already day three of this month’s Lil’ Inker Designs blog hop. We released a bunch of new products this week, and I have a couple things I can’t wait to share. But first I need to make sure you have the details on our hop. It starts at the Lil’ Inker Designs blog, continues through Lisa Henke’s blog, before landing you here. Not only are we giving away a huge prize to one lucky commenter (so be sure to leave a comment on our blog hop posts), we’re having a huge 20% off sale that includes almost everything in the shop.
Today, I’m starting with a simple, cute card perfect for all those silly screw ups that might need a little apology. Our new Whoops word die and sentiment stamp set are just right for those occasions. I’m quite smitten with the “plan a” sentiment, and when I saw it, my mind immediately jumped to those underpants collecting gnomes in South Park (and ohmigoodness, that clip is nearly 20 years old) who didn’t quite have a plan. So I pulled out the adorable undies from I’ll Be Brief and started stamping. Somewhere along the way, those tighty whiteys had a laundry accident and were watercolored pink. I layered them over lightweight vellum and added a die cut whoops, coated in Rock Candy Stickles. Then I swapped in a different, more apologetic sentiment, embossed on black card stock to finish the card.
Sorry, gnomes. You won’t profit off these underpants.
Next up, a little peek-a-boo card made with one of the adorable critters from the I’ll Be Brief stamp set and coordinating dies. I started by embossing a white card front with the new Diamond Chevron Cover Up die, then cutting the Hi Word die right into it. Next, I stamped, watercolored, and die cut the bear from I’ll Be Brief and attached him behind the die cut window. I backed the window with a bit of turquoise card stock before mounting it on my card base. Then I embossed a sentiment on black card stock and popped it up below the window. So simple, and such a cute way to use extra die cut characters, especially the ones that might be a little less than perfect. (I’ll admit to saving images with small goofs, like color bleeding or smudges, that can be covered with a strategic sentiment or die cut.)
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you’re loving these new goodies as much as I am and that you get a chance to play with them soon. They’re already available in the Lil’ Inker Designs store. And there’s still more inspiration at the next stop on the hop: Stephanie Gold’s blog. Until next time, happy stamping!
