Welcome back to the final day of the Lil’ Inker Designs August Blog Hop. I have three projects to share today, so let’s get the formalities out of the way:
- the hop starts at the Lil’ Inker Designs Blog.
- the last stop on the hop was Lisa Henke’s blog.
- all of the new products are available in the Lil’ Inker Designs shop.
- leave a comment to be entered to win our big prize (details on the LID blog).
First up, a super simple take on the gorgeous new Modern Mandala stamp set and coordinating dies. I stamped a few of each mandala, then cut and layered them to resemble a flower, including a few smaller pieces that look like leaves. The coordinating label die cut echoes the mandala shape so beautifully, and I was able to use a balloon string stamp from an older LID set as a stem. I embellished the layers with a small shimmering gem and a liberal splash of sparkle from a clear Wink of Stella pen.
Next, a card featuring one of the absolutely adorable dinosaurs from the new Hello Dino stamp set and dies. I created a scene by embossing an aqua card base with the new Hello Beautiful Cover Up die and layering white and gray card stock cut with Border Builders dies. I used some of the little border stamps from the set to add texture to the gray piece, and some sassy little sentiments, too. Seriously though, the sentiments in this set are some of LIDs best.
Last is one of my favorites of the new release: Eat Cake! The stamps feature gorgeous hand lettered birthday sentiments that perfectly fill the cake silhouettes made by the Eat Cake dies. This pair is so perfect for clean and simple cards, and you all know how much I love a fast, simple card, right? For this 4bar card (made with an old pre made card base from my stash), I cut down a piece of LID patterned paper and used an Eat Cake die to cut a window in it. Then I layered it with foam tape, stamped vellum, and white card stock before dropping it onto my base. I added a gem for a little sparkle and then a did a little dance. Can you imagine all the papers in your stash that would work with a card like this?
That’s it for me today! And the hop, too. The very last stop is the Lil’ Inker Designs shop. I hope you’re loving all of these new products as much as I am, and that you have plenty of time to craft. In just a couple days all of my things will be on a truck headed for Colorado and it could be weeks before I can unpack my craft room and play again, so make an extra card for me.
