Hey there!

And welcome to the first day of the Lil’ Inker Designs September Blog Hop. My craft room is still in shambles after unpacking from our move to Colorado a few weeks ago, but I’ve managed to clear enough space to play with the new release.

There are loads of new goodies to share this week, so here’s the scoop: all of the new products are now available in the shop, the blog hop starts on the Lil’ Inker Designs blog, and we’re giving away the entire release to one lucky visitor who comments on all of the stops on our hop.

If you’re following along, Lisa Henke’s blog was the last stop.

I might be biased, but I think Lil’ Inker has some seriously amazing ghost dies and stamps. And the new Ghost Shaker die and FaBooLous stamps just make them even better. I used the sassy sentiments and accent stamps in FaBooLous to customize a piece of patterned paper. Then I colored and fussy cut a few candies from the A Haunting We Will Go stamp set. I snipped apart my shaker die to cut just the large ghost from vellum and stamped it with those flirty eyelash stamps. Then I adhered a few of the candies behind the ghost and one in it’s transparent little hand to finish the card.

Next, I turned to a warmer palette for this thank you card featuring the Thankful Thoughts stamp set and coordinating dies. I started my card by impressing a brown card base with the new Stitched Harlequin cover up die. I added a stamped banner, and the Thankful Word die, cut from a deep orange. Next, I die cut and stamped dozens of the little bits and bobs of foliage that come in the set, then pushed them around on my card for half an hour before tossing most of them. This simple little arrangement was the one that spoke to me.

That’s everything for today, but I’ll be back tomorrow with more cards. Until then, head over to the Lil’ Inker Designs shop to check out the new release and all of our awesome ghosts. If you happen to put any of the older ghosts in your cart, don’t forget that they’re eligible for the little sale we’re having to celebrate a big Instagram milestone. All of the details are on the LID blog. And don’t forget to leave a comment at every stop for a chance to win our entire release!

  1. I’m so in love with this ghost! He/she brings forth a lot of ideas! This release is just great and I’m thankful for the chance to win the whole release! I am a beginner, and I’m thankful for the chance to build up supplies. I also have enjoyed this blog hop, I have a hard time with ideas, especially backgrounds, all of you designers have really given me great inspiration and I hope I can create something this good!

  2. Fantastic cards Sarah!! the new Halloween stamp sets are just amazing!! And I love what you have created with this adorable ghost! The coordinating sentiments are equally as cute! Thanks for the inspiration 😊

  3. Love the vellum ghost.
    The thankful card is
    beautiful. Love the lattice
    embossing and the pretty
    flowers.
    thanks for sharing.

  4. A vellum ghost is a great idea! I’ve started making Halloween cards (because it’s the best holiday ever), and will have to use it!

    • I looooove vellum ghosts! This isn’t the first time I’ve made them by a long shot. I use Stampin’ Up’s Vellum Cardstock — it’s thick enough to hold die cut shapes and hides adhesive a little better.

  5. cute card ideas.. does that ghost really have candy in his tummy.. ha ha ha.. too cute. Your thankful card is beautiful as well. Love the use of kraft.

  6. Very great cards ! The ghost die window is really cool ! And using a piece of vellum behind is genius !! I also really love the last one because of the kraft base which really makes the sentiment pops-out even more. Great job !
