Lil’ Inker Designs September Blog Hop: Day 3

IMG_8280

Entire Release Prize BadgeIt’s already day three of this month’s Lil’ Inker Designs blog hop. We released a bunch of new products this week, and I have a couple things I can’t wait to share. But first I need to make sure you have the details on our hop. It starts at the Lil’ Inker Designs blog, continues through Lisa Henke’s blog, before landing you here. Not only are we giving away a huge prize to one lucky commenter (so be sure to leave a comment on our blog hop posts), we’re having a  sale that includes almost everything in the shop.

I had so much fun making this card! First, I blended a little gray distress ink inside a circle stencil to make a moon and sprinkled it with water for texture. Then I masked the moon and blended a lot of ink to create a deep night sky. I blended green ink on a separate piece of card stock and cut it with one of our Border Builders dies. Then I went to town with the adorable costumed critters from A Haunting We Will Go, die cutting, stamping, and coloring a dozen with Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment on my moon, then colored it in with black sparkling ink. After mounting all of these cuties on my card base, I added a few splashes of sparkle with a Wink of Stella pen and glossy eyes with a black Glaze pen. My kids are going to flip for these!

Next, a sweet little Thanksgiving card made with our new Eat Pie stamps and coordinating dies. The turkey is hilariously cute, but we have a thing for squirrels in our house, so I had to use him. I started with a 4.25″ square card, stamped a border in green to ground my scene, and then piled on the die cuts. A strip of brown patterned washi tape finished the bottom of the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you’re loving these new goodies as much as I am and that you get a chance to play with them soon. They’re already available in the Lil’ Inker Designs store. Until next time, happy stamping!

These are two really great projects, Sarah!! I love love love how you put the sentiment on the moon in the A Haunting Card!! WOW!!! WHat a great idea and why does this make me think of The Great Pumpkin for some reason? LOVE your second card and how you chose to give the squirrel the stage! He deserves it!!! I really like the colors you used for your sign too!! Perfect work!
