Criminal Grace

Here you go, the ten photos I meant to post two weeks ago for my Ten on Tuesday. Just a few of my favorites from the first few days of our trip to Michigan.

1. The upside to driving to Michigan? Spectacular sunsets in the Mohawk Valley.

2. Tom made himself right at home, dragging books, toys, and snacks all over every home we visited. It was his personal mission to open cupboards and refrigerators to find brooms.

3. Onto everyone’s main attraction! Little Liz is so flippin’ cute. And currently far more photogenic than my own progeny. Doesn’t my sister make cute babies?

4. We were lucky enough to be around for the first day of “Grandma Daycare” and tried to lend a helping hand. I’m sure these two are going to have some hilarious adventures before the summer is out.

5. Tom and his cousin Cady had a blast sharing baby puffs and toys. He was trying to teach her all kinds of bad tricks, just like his Grandma.

6. Cady is also more photogenic than Tom, willing to smile for the camera and sit still long enough to be in focus. I think she takes after her great grandmother, who never seems to be the subject of a bad photo.

7. Tom can finally be entertained with art project, at least when he isn’t trying to eat them.

8. The two main reasons to visit: my dad and his adorable granddaughter. He’s feeling (and looking) much better now that his arteries have been opened up.

9. Even I got quality time with the darling of the family. Tom was very unhappy to see me holding another baby, but he learned to deal.

10. But I still don’t think we’re ready for another one. Two hands is hardly enough to keep up with Tom, let alone Tom and a baby.
