We've Got Alotta Culture Here
Cheesesteaks here I come! I found out this weekend that I'm going to Philadelphia with Jon and his family.
In two weeks.
See, we talked about the possibility a couple months ago when they were planning the St. Louis/Chicago trip. For budget and vacation reasons, I opted not to go with them and do just Philly. I hadn't heard much since then, especially not in regards to me. I even made plans for that weekend and discussed them with Jon. I guess it was just forgotten in the buzz about the St. Louis trip, bachelor party, and wedding. But now I know and I'm excited!
The plan so far is to drive down on Friday night and head back sometime Sunday. We have tickets to the Red Sox game and reservations at Morimoto. That's the extent of my knowledge about the trip. Is there anything else we just have to see while we're in Philly?

If it's a nice night and you're walking around the Liberty Bell is kinda cool. It would be a shame to go to Philly and not see it. You can also run the steps from the movie Rocky if it's not unGodly hot. That pretty much sums up what I did on my last visit!

Do NOT run up the steps to the Art Musuem, you will look foolish and likely require paramedic assistance. Coolest musuem in philly is the Fabric Musuem on Cherry Street. After the sox game take a picture with the Rocky statue outside the ballpark. Also, when you get sick of South Street, and you will) cut over to Manayunk. Go to the US Hotel Bar on Main Street. Excellent for lunch or late night...I can not recommend this highly enough. Check out their website here:
