Throng Tha Throng Throng Throng

Groceries stores are apparently the hip place for old people to hang out. I decided to make a quick stop during my lunch break to stock up on cheap soda and was confronted with throngs of the elderly at every turn. It started in the parking lot, full of over-sized American sedans. The only empty spaces had carts and car doors in them and the aisles were full of slow-moving biddies pushing carts full of groceries. And I can't even describe the horror inside. Suffice it to say that my 10 minute trip was more like 30, even with just 5 items in my basket. The place was just hoppin' shufflin' with old folks.

If it's hot out, older people will go to a grocery store and spend most of the day there because of the air conditioning. When I worked at a grocery store, we would put coffee and water out as a service for the folks who would come and congregate. We didn't make any money off of it, but it was better then turning on the news and hearing about how an elderly person died from heat stroke.

I'm glad that you noticed the old foggies and dodged around them instead of running them over.
