Early Bird
I've been at work before 9am for three days in a row now. 8am Tuesday, 8:30am yesterday, and 8:45am today. And tomorrow is the birthday breakfast where all co-workers with February birthdays join the CEO for breakfast at 8. This is a huge achievement for me since I usually struggle to make it here before 10. I've been going directly to the bathroom for a quick shower instead of heading downstairs to have breakfast and watch the news before the shower. It is really saving me a lot of time and helping me get out of the house faster, even if I feel less informed about the news and weather. The commute has been fabulous, although that can be attributed to school vacation week. The office is really quiet before 9, so I feel like I can get on top of things before people start bombarding me with emergency requests. And I've been able to leave earlier, which is a bit of a novelty. I'm going to try to keep this up next week, but it will probably require an even earlier wake-up time to balance out the traffic.
