Life Essentials

Good things I just can't live without.

L.L.Bean Flannel Sheets - They just don't get much cozier than this. I put off buying all kinds of cute sheets at department stores because I wanted another set of these. Nothing compares.

Yankee Candle Company's Clean Cotton Scent - I love the smell of fresh laundry. And with the candles and things from Yankee it can smell like laundry day everyday.

Gap Jeans - Once I worked my butt off, I found that the jeans at the Gap fit me best. They're not as hippy, which, for me, is a good thing. The biggest bonus is that almost all of them come in several flavors of tall.

Gaiam Yoga/Pilates Supplies - I was a stretching nut before I was ever introduced to Yoga. So far, I've found that Gaiam has some of the best instructional videos and equipment around. It also helps that they've penetrated most sporting goods and department stores.

Ben and Jerry's Oatmeal Cookie Chunk - Yum. Definately one of my favorite ice cream flavors, ever. Its cinnamon-vanilla ice cream with oatmeal cookie pieces and chunks of chocolate. Did I say yum?

Arts and Crafts

Inspiration from other crafty folks and a boatload of great suppliers.

Not Martha - A fun and fresh personal site chock full of ideas and inspiration. Big points for the courage to use the name Not Martha and live up to it.

Sew Wrong - Adventures in sewing with a whole new generation of women.

Martha Stewart Living - I'll admit it. Martha is an inspiration to me. Even if the ideas aren't hers, they're still in the same spirit. Its a simple, hands-on spirit that appeals to me a great deal.

Worcester Center for Crafts - I've been meaning to take a class here for years now. I don't think enough people know about it, so here's your chance to learn a little something about Worcester and its artists and craftsmen.

Stuff Julie Likes - My original supplier of lip balm goodies. Julie's pretty local and has a modest but thoughtful selection of the containers, ingredients, oils, and fragrances you need to make your own beauty products.

Majestic Mountain Sage - A great place for soap-making supplies and additives for your bath and body products. I love the bulk aloe.

Sweet Cakes - More wonderful fragrances than you can shake a stick at. Seriously though, Sweecakes has, literally, hundreds of fragrance oils and many other useful products. In addition to original scents, they have duplicated some of the most popular fragrances in the world.

Impress Rubber Stamps - I'm a big fan of the designs here and the simple creativity they promote. You don't need a dozen stamps to make a great card - just one and a little inspiration. They also have awesome elements and paper supplies.

Marco's Paper - Oodles of paper stuff. The selection definately makes up for the confusing site design.

Save me from these evil deeds before I get them done. [FA]
